On July 19, 2018, the "Ikan Kerapu" has been successfully refloated with assistance of the two tugs "Protector" (IMO: 6504228) and "Orion" (IMO: 9679775) and anchored west off Irbe Lighthouse for further inspections in pos. 57° 45.14' N 021° 32.02' E. The ship had run aground on July 15 after having encountered engine problems.
