Medevac in Alboran Sea
The 'Sword', enroute from Gdansk to Arzev, requested the medical evacuation of a sick crew member on Dec 25, 2025. The International Radiomedical Center confirmed the urgence of an air transport and hospital admission along with a possible surgery. The air traffic controllers in AlmerÃa mobilised the SAR helicopter Helimer 221. The crew member was hoisted and taken to the airport, where an ambulance fwas waiting for the further transfer to hospital.
