Ferry boarded by armed perpetrators
The 'Super Shuttle RoRo 9', while at anchor in waters off Bauan Batangas in pos. 13° 53.696' N 120° 46' E on Jan 22, 2026, was boarded by four perpetrators, armed with knives, at 1.25 a.m. No crew members were injured, and it was not stated if anything was stolen.
Perpetrators stole cables from ferry
The 'Super Shuttle Roro 9', which was moored at Batangas Anchorage.in pos. 13° 46' N 120° 60' E, was boarded by five unarmed perpetrators on Jan 3, 2026, at 11.50 p.m. The intruders stole cables from the ferry. No injruies were reported.
Ferry attacked by gunmen
A tug escorting the "Super Shuttle Roro 9" was under attack on March 23, 2017, at 12.20 am. in the Moro Gulf 19 miles southeast of Sibago island. The Master and Chief Engineer of the tug were kidnapped. On March 25 the master was freed by armed forces of the Philippines, one of hijackers, reportedly Aby Sayaf militants, was killed. The "Super Shuttle RoRo 9" was en route from Cebu to General Santos. As of 12.30 a.m. it changed course and headed for nearest port Zamboanga.
