Straumfrakt

A major rescue operation was launched after the ''Straumfrakt', with five crew members on board en route from Sløvåg to Kristiansand, took on water and started to list to starboard side off Lista in stormy weather conditions on the morning of Nov 11, 2025. The Southern Norway MRCC was notified of the incident just after 6:00 a.m. The NSSR lifeboat 'Erling Skjalgsson', an SAR helicoopter and ferries that were sailing between Hidra and Andabeløy in the Flekkefjord were mobilised. The helicopter hovered above the vessel for a period, but was eventually put on stand by at Lista to save fuel. The ship was assisted by the Hidra-ferry 'Rosfjord' (IMO: 9913274) into the Listerfjord between Listalandet in Farsund and the islands in Flekkefjord and could safely be docked at the muinicipal Kleven quay in Fedafjorden north of Lista at around 8 a.m. The company Roslagen Shipping was conducting investigations according to internal procedures. The "Havfrakt" was refloated in the night of Oct 26 after 300 tons of the cargo fish meal were shifted to another ship. The salvage was completed jointly by Kystverket , Vardø VTS and the Sjøfartsdirektoratet with the "Ocean Supplier". After the end of surveys the ship was to sail to Finnsnes.
