On May 16 the "Thalassa Elpida" completed her repairs. On May 17 at 6.50 p.m. she berthed at the Piraeus Port Authority Container Terminal where the container loading process was in progress.

In the early morning of May 1, 2019, the "Thalassa Elpida", coming from Zeebrugge, allided with its starboard side with a quay in Piraeus west of Keratsini port. Hull damage was reported from the incident, but no injuries and no marine pollution was observed. The port authority detained the ship until a classification certificate has been submitted by the attending classification society, while the preliminary inspection was carried out by the relevant port authority.

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder today announced that it set a new daily naming ceremony record by naming five containerships ordered from Enesel on a single day, the company announces in its press release. In a simultaneous naming ceremony attended by Mr. Nikolas Lemos, Chairman of Enesel; Mr. Kim Oi-hyun, President & CEO of Hyundai Heavy Industries; and other 130 participants at HHI’s yard in Ulsan, South Korea, the sponsors including Mrs. Irini N. Lemos, wife of Mr. Nikolas Lemos and four other ladies, named three 10,500TEU containerships and two 13,800TEU containerships for the Greek owner. The large boxships are scheduled to be delivered from March 20 to early June this year.
