Greenpeace activists blocked unloading coal from the 'Transbaltic' as a part of their campaign against fossil fuel imports on April 5, 2022, at the Salmaasari Coal terminal in Helsinki. The protesters scaled the fences of the coal terminal. They attached themselves to three of the four cranes that are used for unloading the coal, effectively stopping the unloading operation. The Helsinki fire department and the local police removed the protesters. The local police have stated that nine people of the 10 had been detained by 9 a.m. The coal was being delivered to the power company “Helen”, which is owned by Helsinki city.

Two Royal Navy warships escorted the "Transhawk" to port in the morning of Feb 28, 2014, after reports it was taking on water. The Brixham Coastguard sent the Salcombe RNLI Lifeboat to assist the cargo vessel which had 17 people on board and was taking water approximately 34 miles south of Prawle Point. The HMS "Argyll" and HMS "Defender" went to its aid at about 7.50 a.m. The Salcombe lifeboat and the HMS "Argyll" escorted her towards Falmouth. The HM Coastguard later confirmed the water was from an internal source and the ship which had been enroute from Antwerp to Las Palmas was not a threat of sinking. As of 04.30 a.m. on Mar 1 the vessel was anchored off Falmouth.
