Tanker boarded by intruders in Puerto La Cruz
The duty crew member on board the "Star Kestrel" noticed robbers attempting to board the vessel, using a grappling hook attached to the guard rails of the poop deck, in position 10 16 N, 064 42 W, at the Puerto La Cruz anchorage, Venezuela, on Jan 3, 2019, at 04.45 a.m. The alarm was raised, and the ship?s horn was sounded. Hearing the alerted crew members, the robbers aborted the boarding attempt and escaped in their boat. The incident was reported to Puerto La Cruz Port Control.
