Tanker towed to Syros
The "Baltic Sapphire" suffered a technical failure south of Bozcaada anchorage on April 4, 2019. The Greek tug "Christos XXII" (IMO: 7230135) was appointed to tow the vessel from the incident scene to Syros. The towage operation commenced on Apr 4, and the ships arrived off Syros on April 6 at midday. On June 3 it received a new set of spare parts from the owners with repairs still in progress.
