Cruise ship returned for two medevacs
On the night of Feb 10, 2026, the 'Spirit Adventure' returned to the port of CadĂz, while en route to Valencia, for the medical evacuation of two patients, aged 86 and 84. The Cádiz Civil Protection Coordination Center (CCS Cádiz) mobilized the SAR boat 'Salvamar Suhail'. The evacuation took place in the dock, and the patients were transferred to Puerto AmĂ©rica, where an ambulance awaited them. Medevac off MahĂłn
On Aug 19, the Spirit of Adventure' requested the medical evacuation of a wheelchair-bound passenger, by sea, while sailing four nautical miles southeast of MahĂłn. The CCS Palma of Salvamento MarĂtimo mobilized the SAR boat 'Salvamar Antares', which took the patient off and took him to MahĂłn, where he was to be transferred to a clinic.

On Jan 18, 2025, at dawn, the 'Spirit of Adventure', en route from Las Palmas to Portsmouth, UK, which was sailing about 23 miles west of Cabo Fisterra, requested the urgent medical evacuation of an 80-year-old passenger. Salvamento Maritimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 401 from the Fisterra Rescue Center. The woman was hoisted aboard and transferred to the A Coruña airport. It landed in Alvedro at 6:00 a.m., and an ambulance transported the patient to hospital from there.

An 85-year-old British woman has been evacuated for medical reasons from the 'Spirit of adventure', e route from Portsmouth to Cadiz, on April 24, 2023, 70 nautical miles west of A Coruña. The woman had to be treated for heart problems. She was hoisted by the Helimer 102 helicopter and transferred to the Alvedro airport, where sn ambulance was waiting.

In the morning of Jan 15, 2023, the SAR helicopter Pesca 1 was mobilized to the "Spirit of Adventure", which was sailing 75 miles from Vigo to medevac a passenger from the cruise ship, who was unwell.
