Ferry suffered engine failure
On the morning of July 15, 2024, the Port Authority of Argosaronic was informed by the Master of the 'Speed Cat I', that during its departure for the planned route from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Hydra and Spetses, a failure occurred in the port side main engine. The Port Authority of Argosaronicos banned the ship from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society.
Ferry suffered propulsion damage
The Port Authority of Poros was informed, in the morning hours of Oct 15, 2022, by the master of the "Speed Cat I", which was operating a route from Piraeus to the ports of Poros, Hydra and Spetses, about an incident involving an object in the port side main engine. The ship sailed safely to the port of Poros with 106 passengers and twelve crew members, where it disembarked ten passengers, while 96 were forwarded to their destination by the shipping company. The Port Authority of Poros prohibited the sailing of the vessel, until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the ship's surveyor, while it was allowed to sail for a single voyage, without passengers, to the port of Piraeus. After the berthing of the ship in the port of Piraeus, the relevant Port Authority prohibited the sailing of the ferry until the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class from the classifier monitoring it.

The Argosaronikos Port Authority was informed in the afternoon of April 11, 2022, by the Captain of the 'Speed Cat 1' that during a test voyage from the port of Spetses to the port of Piraeus, a malfunction occurred in the starboard side main engine. No passengers were on board the ship, which sailed unassisted to the port of Piraeus and safely disembarked its 11 crew members. The Port Authority prohibited the departure until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the attending classification society.
