On the morning of OCt 2, 2024, the 'SNAV Virgo', en route from Castellammare, suffered a technical problem during the docking maneuver in the port of M.Grandle in Capri with about 200 passengers on board, mostly commuters who disembark on the island every day for work reasons, and allided with the dock. No one was injured. The Coast Guard of Capri launched an investigation. The ship was temporarily removed from service for an inspection by the RINA technicians from Naples. The pier was slightly damaged during the impact. The ship resumed sailings in the early afternoon. A failed maneuver caused the 'Isola di Capreia' to end up on the breakwater off the port of San Nicola on the Tremiti Islands on May 24 at 11 a.m. The grounding occurred during the docking maneuver due to a technical problem. When the captain realized that the ship was not responding to the commands, he dropped the anchors with the result that the impect was less violent, causing slight damage to the bow. The ferry was refloated with own means, and left San Nicola in the afternoon back to Termoli.
