Ferry lost anchor
On Feb 12, 2025, at noon the Port Authority of Zakynthos was informed by the Captain of the 'Smyrna di Levante' that during the departure from the port of Zakynthos en route to the port of Kyllini the starboard anchor was lost. The ship sailed safely to the port of Kyllini with 257 passengers, 89 private vehicles and 30 trucks, two buses and two ambulances on board. The Kyllini Port Authority initially banned the ship from sailing. Upon the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance from the classification society that monitors it, it was permitted to continue its voyage and sailed for the port of Zakynthos.

On Jan 9, 2024, at noon, the Port Authority of Keratsini was informed that due to adverse weather conditions prevailing in the sea area of the new Drapetsonas pier, the stern-moored ferry 'Agios Georgios' (IMO: 7432733) broke lose and allided with the 'Smyrna di Levante''m causing some damage. No injuries were reported from the incident and no marine pollution was observed. The Port Department of Keratsini, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, banned the sailing of both shipsuntil the presentation of seaworthiness certificates by the classifiers monitoring them.
Collision in Drapetsonas
The Port Authority of Keratsini was informed in the afternoon of April 7 about a collision between the cargo m/v 'SC Phoenix' and the 'Smyrna' at the new pier of Drapetsonas, causing damage to both ships. No injuries were reported from the incident and no marine pollution was observed. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Department of Keratsini of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus, while the departure of both ships was prohibited until a certificate of seaworthiness has been presented and a class maintenance certificate by the attending classification society. The 'SC Phoenix' had entered the port of Piraeus on March 29.
