Tanker involved in hit and run accident

The Vietnamese fishing vessel "CM 99596-TS" sank after being struck by the "Ocean Unicorn" in the afternoon of June 22, 2019, in the Eastern Gulf of Siam, 70 miles SW of Hon Khoai island on its way to Thailand. The crew of seven was rescued by nearby fishing vessel, all were reported to be well. The fishermen claimed they spotted the hit and run ship’s name, identifying it as the "Ocean Unicorn". The tanker berthed at Map Ta Put, Thailand, late at night on June 23 and continued its voyage to Singapore on June 25 at 7.40 a.m. with an ETA as of June 28, 3 p.m.
