The "Skage" was detained on Dec 26, 2025, in Zhoushan, China with ten deficiencies, three of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Fire safety - Ventilation Inoperative 2) Pollution Prevention - Incinerator incl. operations and operating manual Not as required 3) Pollution Prevention - Sewage treatment plant Not as required The vessel was released Dec 27 and left enroute to Balboa with an ETA as of Jan 30, 2026. The ' Skage' was detained on Sep 18, 2025 in Yangpu Port by authorities under the Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding. The detention followed an initial inspection which revealed nine deficiencies, two of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. As of Sep 19, it remained under detention as further rectifications or a follow-up inspection awaited completion.

Nordic American Tankers Limited took delivery of a Suezmax vessel, the Nordic Sirius, built at a shipyard in Japan. NAT agreed to purchase four vessels as announced in our press release May 2, 2016. Nordic Sirius is the third of these four vessels. In the course of 30 days, NAT has taken delivery of three vessels. The fourth vessel is expected to be taken over by us within mid-July 2016.
