Thieves stole ship stores
During routine rounds, the duty crew of the "Innovator" noticed an unauthorized person on the forecastle deck in position 13 41 59.3N, 120 59 10.1E at the Batangas anchorage, on July 5, 2018, at 4.40 p.m. and immediately informed the duty officer, who raised alarm. The crew mustered and a search was carried out. Upon checking, ship's stores were reported as missing.
Tanker rescued crew of fishing vessel
The crew of a Vietnamese fishing vessel which got in distress was rescued by the "British Innovator". The vessel has suffered a breakdown on Jan 22, 2017, around 282 nautical miles offshore Quy Nhon beach. As soon as the distress signals were sent from the vessel, Vietnam Coastal Communication System directed relevant agencies to come to their rescue and ask for more support from ships around. Immediately after getting the message,the "British Innovator" accessed the vessel and successfully rescued five fishermen who were brought to Danang Port on the evening of Jan 23.
