Fire in superstructure
The 'Silver Way' with 13 Russian crew members on board suffered a fire on Nov 17, 2019, at 1.40 p.m.NE of Homi Cape, Pohang, en route from Nakhodka to Busan with 2500 tons of timber on board. The Pohang Maritime Authorities sent patrol boats, a firefighting team and a helicopter to assist the crew in firefighting. The crew couldn’t do much because of a generator failure.
