Fire in Frederikshavn
On Dec 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. a fire broke out and was acccompanied by development of dense smoke aboard the "Seven Navica", which is docked at thge Ortoft Yard in Frederikshavn since Dec 3. As there was some uncertainty about people being on board an ambulance was sent to the Harbor Square. However, there was no one aboard, but the crew had begun to fight the fire when the fire brigade arrived. After about one hour the fire was under control. It had broken out during welding in a storage room on the deck. The ship was controlled with thermal cameras by the fire brigade before it returned to the station in Frederikshavn. One fireman got a shock from a welder and was therefore driven to control the hospital. Two workers were delivered to hospital due to smoke inhalation.
