The "Selfoss" was detained in Immingham on Dec 16, 2025, with 30 deficiencies, four of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Fire safety - Fire doors /openings in fire resisting divison Not as required 2) Fire safety - Division - decks,bulkheads and penetrations Not as required 3) Fire safety - Fixed fire exthinguishing installation Not as required 4) ISM Ism certificate Not as required The vessel was released Dec 22 and permitted a single voyage to Torshavn for repairs. Allision in Kiel-Holtenau
Enroute from Kemi to Hamburg the "Sophia" allided with the middle wall of the Great Northern lock of the Kiel Canal in Kiel-Holtenau on Feb 6, 2017, at 9.40 p.m. The stern scraped several meters along the wall after the feeder veered off course upon entering the lock. A fender was partially torn off, a steel chain broke. The cause of the deviation was yet unknown.
