Ferry grounded after breaking down

The "Selbjørnsfjord" which is running between Halhjem and Minke in Tysnes suffered an engine failure on Apr 21, 2015, at 5.52 p.m., and was disabled at the islet Gjerslingane off Våge in Tysnes. The ship touched the bottom with a remaining speed of 0,2 knots, but did not get stuck. The lifeboat "Bjarne Kyrkjebø" jointly with the passenger ferry "Rygercruise" towed the ferry to the dock in Våge where the ships arrived at 7.40 p.m. Also the lifeboat "Kristian Gerhard Jebsen" was notified. There were 31 passengers and six crew members on board. Divers were called to examine the hull for damage. Ferry departures on the Halhjem-Minke were suspended until further notice. The ferry berthed at the Bergen Group BMV port. Ferry ran into hopper

Due to a technical fault the "Selbjørnfjord" on Jan 21, 2015, around midday ran into the stern of the "Falkås " at the quay in Våge. The fault suddenly occurred while the ferry was approaching the quay. The 19 passengers were warnt with the PA system to be prepared, and no one was injured. The ferry suffered only minor damage, while the stern of the "Falkås" was breached and also the quay damaged. The sand skate suffered some water ingress which could be controlled by the crew of five. The "Marstein" was inserted tto replace the ferry, with a first departure at 3:30 p.m. from Halhjem. Divers went down for investigations of the ferry, and also technical surveys regarding the blackout were launched while the ship remained sidelined.
