Cargo ship grounded on islet
The "Seiryu Maru" ran aground on March 30, 2018, around 1 a.m. in the Tsushima Strait on a small islet north of Karatsu, Kyushu Island. The ship, being loaded with steel, was en route from Nagasaki to Osaka. The foreship was breached and some compartments flooded. The ship was refloated and taken to Fukuoka in the run of the day.
