Medevac off Grömitz
On April 7, 2020, a crew member of the 'Seeadler' was injured in the face when falling down a staircase six miles East of Grömitz and was in urgent need of medical care. The lifeboat 'Hans Hackmack' of the DGzRS-station Grömitz was called around 4 p.m. Within a few minutes the boat left port, while the fishery support ship diverted towards a rendezvours point. The lifeboat went alongside in calm seas, and the victom was transferred aboard and cared for in the hospital while the lifeboat returned to Grömitz. An ambulance took him to a hospital for further treatment. Medevac of ill fisherman off Rostock
On Aug 4 the "Seeadler" jointly with the lifeboat "Arkona" from Warnemuende medevaced the deck hand of the German f/v "Condor" seven miles off Warnemuende at Rostock approach. The crew of 2 coming from Burgstaaken had radioed for help via VHF. The "Seeadler" accompanied the "Condor" while the "Arkona" was approaching, and medevaced the man with an RIB which headed for the lifeboat. The man was medically treated and given oxygene while he was taken to Warnemuende and transferred t o a waiting ambulance within 20 minutes.
