Man injured in falling rescue boat
On Oct 8 at 2.45 p.m. the "Nordic Nadja" radiod that a rescue boat fell into the sea while the ship was at anchor off Hoek van Holland during works on the boat davits. One person inside the boat suffered a broken leg. The Coastguard Center Den Helder sent the KNRM-boat of the station Hoek van Holland which battled its way in waves with a height of 3 to 3½ meters and medevaced the man who was taken by ambulance to the Harbour Hospital in Rotterdam. The KNRM-boat of the station Terheijde recovered the drifting boat and took it to Hoek van Holland.
