Engine failure off Bodrum
The 'Sea Star Makri' suffered an engine failure and was dsabled en route to Bodrum with 71 passengers on board on Feb 17, 2024. Te lifeboat 'Kiyem 7' was deployed to assist and took the ship in tow. Ferry broke down between Bodrum and Kos
On July 25, 2022, the 'Sea Star Makkri' with 218 passengers on board suffered an engine failure and went adrift between Bodrum and Kos island. Upon the request for assistance from the General Directorate of Coastal Security, the lifeboat 'Kiyem 6' was dispatched to assist. The ferry was taken in tow by the 'Kıyem 6' and docked safely at the Bodrum Cruises Port.
