Detention in Kocaeli
The 'Zulfikar' was detained in Kocaeli on Nov 18, 2025, by Mediterranean MoU inspectors following a detailed inspection. During the inspection 19 deficiencies were found, three of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The checks had covered the accommodation and galley, ballast tanks from manhole, engine room, navigation bridge, outside decks, forecastle and the steering room. The ship was released again on Nov 20 and left the port en route to Sulina with an ETA as of Nov 22. As of Nov 25, it was moored in pos. 44° 53' N 029° 56' E off Tulcea.
