Tankers detained for STS transfer
The product tanker 'Tuah Sejagat' (IMO: 8619132) and the 'Scorpio' were detained by the Malaysian Maritime Department approximately 0,7 nautical miles southwest of Kapar in Selangor, on Nov 5, 2023. The 'Tuah Sejagat' with six crew members on board, was transferring 400,000 litres of diesel onto the 'Scorpio'. Two crew members from each vessel have been detained and taken to the Selangor State Maritime Office for further investigations. Local authorities were investigating the incident as they failed to present any permit for oil transfer from ship to ship.
