Oil spill while bunkering
Fuel oil was released from the "Carten Maria" in St. Petersburg in the night of May 24, 2011. The incident occurred midnight when bunkering from the tanker "Pakri" operated by NT-Bunkering. Bunker fuel was spilled on deck of the vessel and then over board onto the quay and into water. The oil spill response team collected 0,2 cbm of oily mixture using three vessels, cleaned the "Carten Maria" and completed the operation in the early morning. On May 25 the "Carten Maria" sailed for Paldiski.
