Tanker detained for unauthorized STS transfer
The two Russian tankers 'Amur' (IMO: 8810176), and 'Zaliv Vostok' were detained on Feb 9, 2020, by the Korean Maritime Police off Gunsan for illegal STS operation in the Korean exclusive economic zone. The tankers were engaged in an oil transfer15 miles west of Gunsan, without having requested formalities and got an authorization, in order to avoid costs.
