Z510-Dennis

On Oct 31, 2018, at 9 a.m. the Hanstholm rescue station was alerted after the "Dennis - Z 510", 388 gt (IMO: 9215969), had run aground off the port. The crew had confused the ports's new eastern outer jetty, which has not completely been finshed yet, with the existing approach. The skipper missed the yellow markings, which clearly showed where the approach to the port was. The boom trawler had hit the bottom of the stone wall, which in the future forms the core of the eastern jetty, and got stuck. Both the "C.B. Claudi" and "LRB 22" aattended. After it was clear that there was no water ingress, they got permission from the JRCC/MAS Guard to try to pull the fishing vessel off. Meanwhile, the fishing vessel already had succeeded to get to deeper water with its engines running full astern. The lifeboats escorted it into the port at 11.30 a.m. At 6 p.m. it sailed again after inspections.
