Collision in the Kattegat
On Sep 3, 2018, at 5 p.m. the "W Smash" was in collision with the Danish f/v "Charlotte P - FN 131" in the Kattegat. The bulkcarrier had sailed from Wilhelmshaven at 2.40 a.m. and was bound to Riga, ETA Sep 6, 4 a.m. The fishing vessel entered the port of Skagen at 8.50 p.m. On Sep 4 at 8.15 a.m. it berthed at the yard in Strandby. The Danish Maritime Authority boarded the bulkcarrier upon its entry in the Great Belt area and questioned the crew. In the evening of Sep 4 it was released after the investigation was completed.
