Vessel disabled off Nakodka Bay
The 'Sasco Angara' suffered an engine breakdown in vicniity 42 47 16.8 N, 133 01 35.4 E, and was disabled in inclement weather conditions near the entrance to the Nakhodka Bay on Dec 31, 2020. The Russian icebreaker tug 'Tayfun' managed to establish a towing connection despite the difficult weather conditions, with wave heights of up to three metres and wind gusts of up to 35 mph, and was able to take the vessel ito the port of Nakhodka at 1 p.m. It left the port again on Jan 6, 2021, at 1.35 a.m. and arrived in Vladivostok at 1 p.m.
