Austraatt

On Feb 18, 2026, at 5.30 p.m. the "Austrått" experienced technical problems. A power outage occurred, as vessel was about to leave the ferry quay at Brekstad in Ørland. The ferry pier at Brekstad was blocked, and the service was timewise suspended The incident led to long waiting times, with the 'Vestrått' remaining the only ferry on the route Brekstad-Valset, with departures from Brekstad every half hour and from Valset every hour. Normal operations were resumde on the Brekstad–Valset routewith two ferries on Feb 20.

The "Austrått" had to be sidelined in Brekstad due to technical problems in the morning of July 16, 2019, which had occurred at 4.20 p.m. on July 15 between Brekstad and Valset and caused numerous cancellations of sailings. At 11.38 it was announced that the ferry would resume its normal operation at noon.

On Dec 4, 2018, the ferry service Edøya–Sandvika was interrupted as the "Austrått", currently replacing the "Edøyfjord" which was under maintenance, on the route between Smøla and Aure had suffered technical problems and was sidelined in Sandvika for repairs. At 7 a.m. operator Fjord1 reported the problems were rectified, and the ferry left Sandvika again at 7.15 a.m.
