The "Atlantik Miracle" suffered a steering gear failure on May 9 2018, inside the lock of Cote-Sainte-Catherine, Quebec, in position 45 24 29.0N, 73 33'55.1W, at 9.30 p.m. The tanker was anchored in position 45 13 50N, 74 14 1W, six nautical miles off Valleyfield. The tanker was enroute from Montreal to Mississauga.
