Captain cannot be blamed for not reporting
The captain of the "Santa Princesa" and the shipping company have been acquitted after being charged with illegal fishing in the fisheries protection zone outside Svalbard. The Troms police district fined captain and the shipping company a confiscation of 1.5 million Norwegian crowns for having fished without reporting. The court believed that the captain has reported via Portugal and can not be blamed for this not reaching Norway.
