Hamburg Süd Christens new Container Ship "Santa Barbara" in Shenzhen
Hamburg Süd celebrated on August 14, 2012 the christening of container ship “Santa Barbara” at the Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) in Shenzhen, China. The “Santa Barbara” was the last of a total of ten new buildings of the “Santa” class to be christened. Like her nine sister ships, the “Santa Barbara” has a slot capacity of 7,100 TEU and is fitted with 1,600 reefer container plugs.
