Annabella hit 100-million-ton mark in Kiel Canal
With Christmas cookies and a certificate the "Annabella" was honoured in Brunsbüttel before its transit of the Kiel Canal as with the ship, which was loaded with 868 containers, the amount of transported goods this year on the canal hit the 100-million-ton mark. It was only the second time in the history of the channel that the amount of 100 million tons of freight was exceededIn 2008 a total of approximately 106 million tons of cargo were transported. The 135-meter-long "Annabella" was on the way from Casablanca to St. Petersburg on its 58th Canal passage in 2012.
