The "Wavemaster 5" ran aground at the Karang Galang reef, off the eastern coast of Batam, Indonesia, while en route from Tanjung Pinang to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Singapore, in the afternoon of March 2. The operator, Majestic Ferry, sent another ferry, the "Wavemaster 6", to transfer all the passengers to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. All passengers were safe, the ferry was in stable condition.
