Bulk carrier sank barge
The 'Honwin', en route from Gangavaram to Bahipodi, was in collidsion with a barge towed by the tug 'Bina Marine 59' on June 11 2022, at around 00.30 a.m. WIB in the Singapore Strait north of Batam. The barge, loaded with about 4,500 tons of granite was damaged and towed to shallower water to avoid the complete sinking. The bulk carrier was allowed to continue sailing.
