Collision off Nungsa

On Aug 6, 2024, the Indonesian Navy responded to a collision of the bulk carrier 'Fu Tong' (IMO: 9219458) and the 'PVT Avira' in the waters of Nongsa, Batam, Riau Islands,. The ship had 20 crew members on board, consisting of 19 Chinese and one Myanmar national. All of them were in good health The KRI 'Siliman-848' was deployed to the scene. The 'Fu Tong' was anchored about 1.8 nautical miles north of Nongsa after the accident.
