Bulkcarrier grounded on the Seine
On Dec 17 at 6.30 a.m. the "Wadi Alyarmouk", coming from Safaga, ran aground on the right bank of the Seine river at Mesnil-sous-Jumièges near Rouen, while en route to Rouen. The vessel which had suffered a blackout was refloated within a short time by two tugs of TSM. The "Wadi Alyarmouk" which was in ballast docked in Rouen around 1 p.m. Traffic on the Seine was closed until refloating.
