Tycho-Brahe

Passengers on the Øresund Line's ferry 'Aurora', which, together with the ferries 'Tycho Brahe' and 'Hamlet', operates a shuttle service between Helsingør and Helsingborg, were delayed on the morning of April17, 2025, because the ship could not enter the port of Helsingør, which was blocked by the 'Tycho Brahe' which had a technical issue. The technical problem meant that the 'Tycho Brahe's departure for Helsingborg was delayed by 30 minutes. Therefore, the 'Aurora' had to wait outside the harbor until the 'Tycho Brahe' had departed. After that, everything sailed as planned again.

The 'Tycho Brahe',, serving on the Øre Sound on the route Helsingør - Helsingborg, suffered problems most of Oct 24, 2024, and also on Oct 24 with the bow visor, which caused some delays. There is a cylinder that must be replaced, so the opertor was forced to take the 'Tycho Brahe' out of service in Helsingborg on Oct 24, as the visor has to be open when they have to replace the cylinder. The sail plan was supplemented by the ferry 'Mercandia IV'.

A woman fell over board the ferry 'Tycho Brahe' in the Øresund enroute from Helsingør to Helsingborg, in the afternoon of Oct 19, 2023. A major rescue operation was started, joined by the ferry which turned around and followed its path, but the vessel was later released by the JRCC. Rescue crews from both Denmark and Sweden involved, among other assets, two Danish helicopters and two Swedish boats. Shortly before 7 p.m., the Armed Forces announced that the search had been called off without having found the person. The ferry sailed on to Helsingborg, and around 4:30 p.m. the almost 200 passengers aboard were dropped off in the Swedish port.
