Fuel injector damage off Land's End
The "Adfines Star", en route from Flushing to Montreal with a crew of 19 on board, sufffered a mechanical failure of a fuel injection pump in the morning of July 29, 2019, in position 49 42 07 N, 005 45 16 W, 20 miles southeast of the Land's End TSS, with 16998.7 tonnes of the oil chemical HTCon board. The estimated time for repair works was around 90 minutes. The crew changed the fuel injector pump, as they had a spare one on board, and resumed the voyage to Canada with an ETA as of Aug 7.
