Detention in Shantou
The 'Tulip' was detained in Raoping near Shantou by the Tokyo MoU after an inspection on Oct 28, 2025 during its first call to the port The inspectors recorded seven deficiencies, three of which were being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. The ship left the port again on Oct 29 for orders.
Armed perpetrators stole engine spares
On June 27, 2025, at 12.32 a.m., the 'Tulip' was boarded by four perpetrators, armed with gun like objects, in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore, in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme, about 3.9 nautical miles off Pulau Cula, Indonesia in pos. 1° 5.7' N 103° 43.85' E. The intruders stole engine spares, no crew member was reported injured.

The Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC), Gas Jasmine, discharged its cargo comprising 33,000 mt of propane and 11,000 mt butane at the Chinese port of Daxie, in Ningbo, on June 21 after a voyage from Khor Fakkan in the UAE. This followed a ship-to-ship transfer of the cargo in the Persian Gulf, trade and shipping sources said.
