Collision in Barents Sea
The 'Atlantic Lady' was in collision with the Russian trawler 'Pechora' in the Barents Sea, which contacted its starboard side with the stern on Nov 21, 2020, at at 08.30 a.m. The trawler was manoeuvring alongside the reefer for transshipment operations in the Pomorskiy Strait in position 68 31 29 N, 050 12 41 E. No injuries nor pollution reported. Both vessels remained seaworthy, and there were no operational restrictions. The Murmansk Transport Prosecutor's Office was conducting verification measures.
Reefer still anchored off Copenhagen after collision
The tanker "Kraslava" was allowed to resume its voyage after an inspection by the relevant Danish authorities and headed for Riga with an ETA of Nov 4, 7 a.m. The tanker suffered a breach and dents at the starboard bow. The "Atlantic Lady" lost a part of the living quarters on starboard side which was torn off by the "Kraslava" and remained anchored north of the Middelgrunds Fort near Cppenhagen until decisions were taken regarding the seaworthiness.
Collision in Øre Sound
In the afternoon of Nov 1, 2014, at 1.28 p.m. the tanker "Kraslava" was in collision with the "Atlantic Lady" in the Drogden Channel of the Øre Sound. Both ships suffered damage in the accident which happened east of Amager in pos. 55 32N 012 43E and were ordered to drop anchor for investigations. The Swedish Coast Guard dispatched the "KBV 034" which was off Malmö immediately to the scene. The "Atlantic Lady" proceeded to an anchorage to Copenhagen, the "Kraslava", which was in ballast, to the Køge Bay. The reefer’s superstructure was severely damaged, a number of cabins destroyed. The tanker suffered a gash at the starboard bow, the anchor seemed to be damaged too. While the "Atlantic Lady" had sailed from St. Petersburg on Oct 30 and bound to Bear Island, the "Kraslava" was headed from Santa Cruz to St. Petersburg.
