Fire on bulkcarrier
In the morning of April 14, 2019, the US Coast Guard responded to a fire aboard the "Albany Sound" that was docked at Morehead Port. The fire had broken out superstructure of the bulk carrier. Also the Morehead City Fire Department, assisted by Beaufort Fire Department, Atlantic Beach EMS, Newport EMS, and Beaufort EMS attended. By 2.30 p.m. the fire was under control, and the fire fighters left the ship. The fire damages mostly were confined to crew cabins.
