Engine malfunction at Ahırkapı Anchorage
On the early morning of Jan 14, 2026, the 'Princess Eva', which had moored off Istanbul the previous evening, enroute from Tartus to Kavkaz, suffered an engine malfunction at the Ahırkapı Anchorage. The ship dangerously approached the cargo m/v 'Resat Aga' (IMO: 9545467), which had dropped anchor in pos. 40° 57' N 028° 52' E on its voyage from Constanta to Tenes with an ETA as of Jan 18. The tug 'Kurtarma 1' (IMO: 8959752) was deployed to assist and shifted the vessel to a safer area, where it was re-anchored in pos. 40° 57' N 028° 53' E and remained stationary as of Jan 19. Collision in Izmail
The bulk carrier 'KLC Erciyes' (IMO: 9132480), en route from Istanbul to Izmail, was in collision with the 'Jasmin Queen' at Izmail on July 1, 2023. Subsequently, the 'KLC Erciyes' was safely berthed at the nominated pier with tug assistance. An incident investigation file has been opened by the Harbour Master incident investigation desk. H&M, Class, and P&I surveyors attended onboard and carried out damage surveys in order to ascertain the cause of the incident and the extent of damages. No injury and pollution was reported. The vessel's departure permission was temporarily cancelled until the completion of damage surveys and an incident investigation. The 'Jasmin Queen's damage survey was completed together with the loading operation. The ship was granted departure permission and sailed from Izmail on July 4 to Alexandria with an ETA as of July 16.
Techical failure under repair at Datca Bay
The 'Jasmin Queen', while en route from Istanbul to Tripoli, suffered a technical failure and dropped anchor at Datca Bay on Jan 12, 2021. Repairs were started by the crew. The 'Jasmine Queen' remained stationary as of Jan 13.
