When the tug "Jascon 4" on May 26, 2013, capsized and sank with 12 crew members on board about 30 km offshore the coast of Escravos while assisting a tanker which was loading on a Single System Mooring, the "Lewek Toucan", chartered by West African Ventures and carrying a DCN team of divers was 17 hours sailing away. The team performed diving operations for the Okpoho Okono-16 pipeline Project. While the news about the accident developed, the divers realized that there might be survivors. A direct consultation between the client and the management of DCN Global led to the decision to head immediately to the was sinking site. For this purpose, the ongoing operation aborted, The divers which had been working at a depth of of 70 meters were decompressed during the transit as the "Jascon 4" was at a depth of 30 meters. On the spot the divers discovered that the wreck was upside down, and one compartment contained an air bubble in which the cook was found alive and well. He was brought to the surface by The DCN team hoped that perhaps more people would be found alive. Unfortunately, only the bodies of 10 deceased crew members were found and recovered by the six divers.
