Damaged piston ring
The "Trans Adriatic", en route from Teesport to Antwerp, suffered a damaged a piston ring in position 054 34 40.0N, 000 37 22.0W, five miles north of Whitby on Aug 2, 2019, at 10.50 p.m. The estimated repair time was 15 hours. The ship berthed in dock 4 in Antwerp on Aug 4 at 10.10 a.m.
Medevac off Dutch coast
On Aug 17, 2011, at 10.15 a.m. alarm was raised at the MRCC Den Helder after a Philipino sailor aboard the "Trans Adriatic" had suffered cardiac problems and needed a medevac. The KNRM-boat "Jeanine Parqui" at 10.30 a.m. departed from Berghaven to the ship which anchored in position 51°54.16 N 003°33.26 E. At 11.30 a.m. she was alongside and conducted the medevac, one hour later she was back in Berghaven where the cook aged 46 was taken to the Leyenburg hospital in Den Haag by ambulance.
