Suspected illegal disposal of oil sludge
On Aug 17, 2017, officials of the water protection police station Stade controlled the "Trabzon" in Buetzfleth on compliance with the marine environmental regulations. A considerable amount of oil-containing residues was found during the inspection of the oil diary documenting the seizure and retention of oil residues. For the period of responsibility of about four months, there was a calculated error of about 12m³ sludge. An illegal disposal could not be established. In consultation with the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, a security deposit of 6303 Euros was ordered and collected.
