Detention in Zhangzhou
The 'TQ Samsun' was detained in Zhangzhou on Sep 7, 2025, after its arrival from Gulangyu, by the port authorities under the Tokyo MoU. The initial inspection revealed eight deficiencies, three of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention. After these were rectified to the satisfaction of the inspectors, the ship left the port again on Sep 8 en route to Tianjin with an ETA as of Sep 14.
Last bulk carrier left Odessa after termination of grain deal by Russia
The 'TQ Samsun' was the last ship to pass the grain corridor from Odessa to the Black Sea with 38,800 tonnes of agricultural goods on July 17. The ship reached Istanbul at 4.30 p.m., waiting to pass through the Bosphorus Strait to head to the Netherlands. Before, Russia had announced that the agreements underlying the contentious Black Sea Grain Deal have been terminated.
