Pomorze

Ran aground near Itapua in do Junco channel en route from Rio Grande to Porto Alegre, Brazil, on March 15, with a cargo of 8,000 tons of ammonium nitrate and 3 thousand tons of urea. Pomorze ran aground off channel and didn’t hamper traffic, locals said vessel stranded off course to avoid another vessel which was crossing her way, presumably Taiwanese bulk carrier Santa Ines (dwt 58500, IMO 9425851). As of morning March 20, vessel was in position 30 20S 051 04W, 1 nm north of island Ilha do Junco, i.e. still aground. Maritime Bulletin http://www.odin.tc
